Order Declining to Sign Order to Show Cause is Not Appealable
On May 26, 2016, the First Department issued a decision in Matter of Azeem v. Murphy, 2016 NY Slip Op. 04112, dismissing an appeal of a court's refusal to sign petitioner's order to show cause seeking a stay of an arbitration, because an "order declining to sign [an] order to show cause is not appealable."
